Dendron Resource Surveys has developed a workshop designed to give forest managers and others a detailed introduction to the use of remote sensing tools and techniques for forest updating purposes.
The workshop is a combination of lecture and hands-on sessions.
Providing:
* an introduction to remote sensing.
* an overview and comparison of remote sensing systems.
* hands-on introduction to key procedures (orthocorrections, image analysis, etc.)
* hands-on comparison of different imagery used for actual forest update purposes.

Focusing on:
* Forestry Applications
* Vendor-Independent Perspectives
* All currently available commercial imagery types

The workshop is modular in design, allowing perspective clients to choose those subjects of most relevance to their operations and interests. It is maintained as a dynamic product, updated on a regular basis to cover new sensors, new update applications and expanded data sets.

" I found the workshop very informative - it answered a lot of questions I had - I have a better
  understanding of image data"
- Sharon Witt, Kamloops Regional Office
"The information provided me with an understanding and ideas for utilizing it in better planning ,
especially initial planning before sending contractors out on site...."
- Kevin Walker, Ministry of Forests (B.C.)
